I just watched A Thursday. I loved the movie: great acting, great direction, and great story. But personally, I am against Capital Punishment for any crime in the world. The justice system was formed on rehabilitation. That is the true nature of the prison but over the years it has been struck down to just the number of years a person has to serve. The statistics show that more than 70% of prisoners after serving their sentence go back to prison after committing yet another crime because the prison is not serving its true purpose - REHABILITATION. A person has to be rehabilitated and introduced back into society for whatever crime he or she has committed depending on the nature of the crime committed. I am in no way saying that a serial killer should be reintroduced to society but should not be given capital punishment but rather should be given 50 years in prison so that he or she also suffers. That is true justice.
Coming to the subject of the movie - A Thursday, I cannot even imagine what the victim goes through but again I feel that the perpetrator or criminal of that crime whoever it might be, he or she, should be given life imprisonment with no chance for parole and should be kept in solitary confinement for 24 hours a day instead of capital punishment. This will really make the criminal suffer and atone for his or her crimes. And yes there should be no age limit in the law when it comes to any kind of heinous crime.
Also, a very important point to remember here is that countless men and women have reported false crimes and given false statements for their own vested interests. I appreciate the strictness of the law in these cases but even after the person - he or she is released, they are ostracised from society. So the law enforcement bodies should enforce the law in such a way that they officially(keyword: officially) make an arrest only on solid grounds.

I just want that every criminal should be rehabilitated and if there is no chance for that in the eyes of the law then should be given life imprisonment till death with no chance for parole and capital punishment for all crimes should be abolished.
In simple words - give a jewelry stealer a chance to atone and rehabilitate for his or her crime and make a serial killer suffer forever in jail in solitary confinement.
In the end, I enjoyed the movie very much. These kinds of issues must be taken up more often. I would very much enjoy a movie where a man is seeking justice for a crime committed by a woman on him. There are many underreported cases in that regard because there is no law for men in these crimes.
