Poirot was a fussy and proud man with impeccable taste. Even as an older man I doubt the dimly lit mediocre apartment would’ve been accurate. I love John Malkovich but I agree, his accent was bizarre. The production and cinematography were great but it was a little heartbreaking to see the character as he was portrayed. I did love Mr. Cust and Lily together and would’ve preferred to see more of those two madly in love and all the craziness that brought them. More odd behaving characters at the boarding house would’ve been wonderful to watch too!! PJP
