It was okay. The characters involved were a little hard to follow and understand their purpose and the standard "monsters" were basically all the same 3 or 4 so not a lot of creativity there, but the fear factor was there and many jump scare moments. The puzzles were nice, but felt a little "off" since they would never have been a practical set up in the real world so you couldn't help but ask yourself, "what, why would they even put this here?". Some of it just wasn't realistic in that sense. The storyline was a little confusing, but you understood the basic idea and why he was doing this, even though no one in the history of the world would ever do some of the things he did just because of a letter he received. Also, im not a big fan of 3rd person, I don't think it is anywhere near as immersive as first person, and the gameplay made me a little queasy at times so I had to take motion sickness meds to get through it 😅. Other than that the game was pretty decent. It took me about 5 days of continuous playing all day long to complete it, but the price of the game was about $75 so not the best deal for 5 days of gameplay or two weeks of part time play.
Overall I'd say if you wait for it to be under $50, it's well worth it, but if I knew then what i know now, I wouldn't spend $75 on it, it's just not worth quite that much for what you get.
