It wasn't a perfect game by any stretch. And it lacked some of the seriously impactful moments (in a positive sense) that the first had. However, I understand this is all by design due to exploring the theme of hatred and how it can consume everything only to leave everyone with nothing.
It's a good story overall, and it's very "real". It won't make you feel good, but neither was the first. It won't make you feel "whole", but it will make you feel. My hat goes off to Naughty Dog for another well written game.
Minor Spoilers Ahead:
With that being said, I caution an initial knee-jerk reaction by players. If someone gets no 'justice', in your mind, consider if that was lazy storytelling or the entire point of the story. This is not a melodrama in which all loose ends are tied up; this is instead a very real story that has much of the messiness of real life including the unsatisfying conclusions from some perspectives.
