Having been a huge fan of Sam Elliott since the first time I laid eyes on him, there was no doubt in my mind that I would love his work in 1883 also. Sam Elliott did not disappoint. Although his character is a real SOB and uses language that some viewers may find offensive. I believe it’s simply an extension of Sam Elliott’s character. My thoughts about Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were a little shaky; but after watching the first two episodes, I have been pleasantly surprised. I’m hooked on 1883 for its duration, which I hope will be long.
