I shouldn't have read the other reviews before I wrote mine ...the critics are always a pain to me ...if I like a film I will tell others about it. It begins slowly and it does have sub titles which I found appropriate (similar to movie Appocalypto). It's a stretch 20,000 years ago to even imagine life in that time ..let alone to criticize this interpretation. So I just let the film take me along on a marvelous, awesome journey...had no difficulty imagining the relationship of wolf to young man ..striking scenery ,,,like nothing I have ever seen. . I wanted to know everything about the film and where it was filmed, etc. Kudos to the writer and the many people from all over who helped this to come together. This is a movie I would buy to keep and to give to those who love nature and animals as much as I do!
