This is by far the best astrology book I have ever read. I've had it for 40 years, I've read hundreds of people their sun/moon personality profile as reported by the book's author, Jefferson Andersen, and most of them are astounded by how accurately he assesses them. There's a lot of junk astrology out there, but Andersen is the real deal. He clearly demonstrates that there is in fact something to astrology, and why wouldn't there be? Why is it not at least plausible that a person's character would be substantially effected by the magnetic planetary forces at play at the traumatic moment of their birth? Over the years Andersen has definitely made a believer out of me. I get the impression that his book must have been the result of years of careful observation of many people.

I was a Vietnam era kid. In 1969 when I was 20 years old I would walk across my college campus and as likely as not I'd run into a demonstration against the Vietnam war. I'd say this instilled in myself and those about myage a rather acute consciousness of the schizophrenic reality of the human condition when it comes to conflict. I.e. Join the army and fight in Vietnam and you're a killer; don't fight and you're a coward. The kids that followed us after the Vietnam war do not experience this schizophrenia to the same degree. I've read about eight to nine books on the Vietnam war.This book "Ho, a Life" which I read in the year 2011, finally gave me an understanding of just what happened and why in this particular war. I did not fight in Vietnam but a lot of my friends and acquaintances did, and most of them whether they fought in Vietnam or not, have read a few books about it. Personally if I had to recommend one book to get a very good understanding of what happened, this is the book I'd recommend. I'm referring to the book by William Duiker
