In my opinion, not only is this Pink Floyd's best album, but it is the absolute best album of the 1970's. I know, that is a very, very tall statement, but it just is. Get yourself a good pair of headphones, no interruptions, and just fold back and get lost. No other album, NO other album at all even comes close, not even Dark Side. But thank got we have Meddle, Wish You Were Here, Dark Side and the classic, Animals, because The Wall is a total 80's sellout and it really sucks. From Animals to sellout. Unbelievable. Roger Waters is pure genius in the 1970's. Nobody else can match his songwriting abilities. His bass on the track "Sheep", is absolutley thunderous and sludgy. Incredible. when I die, I'm going to have to insist to God that Pink Floyd Animals comes with me in the deal. I simply cannot do without it.
