It's one of those films that the layers of well-thought-out details only reveal themselves slowly after watching it few times. Only then you will fully see the amount of work they've put in and the beauty of this amazing storyline. From character development, cinematography, the classic yet identifiable style, the list goes on. It deserves its own genre as it is sui generis. I've watched it many times and I can tell you that I still find it engaging. Lastly, Kate as Selene is absolutely stunning and the same goes for all the cast members! Great job everyone ❥

How are we still giving a film almost five star that nearly killed the majority of the staff due to MGM greedy needs that served no one else but their own? Metal paint that almost killing the tin man, 16 hours of work or more in a day, green paint that tainted her skin several days, heavy metal suit that he couldn't sit down nor rest, 90lb lion skin made with an actual lion fur, etc. Do we not know this now? Can we please take a look at this horrendous history of film and surface the fact that yes, this was a film made with pure blood and sweat from the cast who did not have voice nor power to rebel. To give a high rating on a film like this after knowing all the terrifying behind the scene stories is beyond acceptable.
