I do not have a problem with adaptation of art. I cannot, however enjoy such endeours myself. I appreciate seeing beloved books as they come to life on the screen, and always understand the need for liberties to b taken for transference of the medium. But I cannot abide by significant changes that alter characters and even the metaphysics of the universe. I only watched the first episode, which I did not find poorly done. But the extreme deviations from the source material turned me off from watching any further episodes.
