If I could have given no stars I would have .I found the story so thin with no real insight into how any of it came about. I would say this film is no more than a 1950s B movie . They should have had Lassie in the lead role or maybe Roger Rabbit . Utter garbage ,I'm glad I never wasted the price of a cinema ticket on this .

This in my opinion is by farJohn Waynes best Western movie ,maybe even his best movie of all that he made throughout his career. His performance far outways that of the one he gave in his oscar winning role in True Grit

One of the last truly good westerns to be made

I feel as though I've just wasted 2hours 20 minutes of my life having watched this movie .I'm not a great writer of reviews but let's just say I found this film not worthy of a single star . Don't take my word for it ,by all means watch it yourself and make your own mind up .Cate Blanchett is worth so much more than this I can't believe she even considered appearing in this tripe

I can't believe that I waited 12 years for this and for what .Totally disappointed with this ,I just hope the next instalment is an improvement which shouldn't be difficult.
