After recently finishing the book(s), I was really looking forward to the series, but I was prepared for disappointment. The problem all along was going to be how the relationship between humans and daemons was going to be portrayed. Not surprisingly, the problem remains. The series, which moves at light speed, has an enormous about of plot to cover. They would have been better served by slowing down the first few episodes to understand the human/daemon relationship and fortify the characters.
