If I could leave zero stars, I certainly would. Lucky Dog WITHOUT Brandon?? That’s a great big N-O from our family. Brandon WAS Lucky Dog. If the stupid Hollywood machine couldn’t get that glaringly obvious point, then it’s just another poor decision on top of thousands of prior bad calls made by clueless executives. Brandon was the reason we all fell in love with the show. His authenticity and compassion, plus his devotion and commitment to animals is what made us all love Lucky Dog. Just to be fair, I watched one episode of Lucky Dog with the new couple. We watched by accident, not yet knowing Brandon had left the show. I’m sure they are nice people who love dogs and who will do their best to fill Brandon’s shoes. That being said, his shoes CAN’T be filled. Like I said, Brandon was and always will be, Lucky Dog. I called the execs making this change STUPID, and they obviously must be stupid, because they thought they could just get rid of Brandon and plug in any other person (or couple) and it would be fine. They should have created a new show, with a new name, for their new people, because Lucky Dog can’t be Lucky Dog without Brandon. We are officially DONE with Lucky Dog unless Brandon were to come back, and if he doesn’t, we will follow him wherever he goes next. After such a long time, it’s really sad that such a great show is over for our family, but we’re glad we found Brandon through watching Lucky Dog. We look forward to watching him again somewhere else with show execs who will value who he is and what he brings to the table.
