A relaxing way to waste a few hours. You just have to be able to stomach the syrupy American sentimentality. Also there are too many on-screen "explanations" for the audience's benefit. But I guess the producers were not aiming at a super-intelligent audience. Undemanding entertainment, but don't expect anything subtle or sophisticated. It is pretty much just an "American formula" production.

Great! But really put off by Lo Lauppi's botox overdose.

Did Dominic Cummings really wear his beanie 100% of the time? And what is the problem with Boris's shoulders? Has he had a skiing accident or something?

Just one question for the director. Were you trying to save money by using no lighting? And why didn't the film get an Oscar nomination for "best bad lighting"?

It's all a bit obvious and dumbed-down. Thin characterization and Griselda is a bit two-dimensional and lacks a real story. Her "success" also comes much too easily. The other gangsters seem like push-overs. But it was probably made primarily for American audiences so as long as there's a bit of sex and a lot of firing of guns, not much characterization or story is needed.

Great entertainment as long as you can stomach the American cornball junk-babble analysis constantly spewed up by Wendy. But we can forgive that writers' diarrhea because she (Maggie Siff) is great in the role. Of course totally unbelievable is the cutting fluency of the dialogue from all the characters (not a "like" or "you got it" in sight), particularly since they are Americans, but all the more entertaining for it.

Good: Depiction of unjust treatment of rape victims; insight into detailed police procedures necessary to catch perpetrators; powerful illustration of permanent impact of rape on the victims' lives. Bad: Overlay of typical American sentimentality. Competing cops start frosty then become besties, with some cringe-worthy mutually admiring glances. Counsellor laboriously discovering the truth by talking about zombie films. Woman cop single-handedly patting down and handcuffing violent serial rapist. Cop directly addressing judge in court as though she was the prosecutor. A shame it was not done in the UK with their talent for subtlety. Would have been much better.

I just have one question for the producers. Why do the suspects always continue whatever they are doing - welding; painting; digging etc - whenever the police come to talk to them? It just seems so unnatural. Who would really do that? And since it's the same in episode after episode it's almost become a hallmark parody of the show.

When will American producers learn that there is no such thing as a "British" accent. Britain consists of England, Wales and Scotland. So it could be an English accent. It could be a Welsh accent. It could be a Scottish accent. But not "British"!

Good story but a shame it wasn't made by the British or the Israelis. They would done a much better job. Too American. Overdone emotions; over-explained; much of it stretching credibility; and no subtlety at all. Still, I guess that's what American audiences need.
