I believe everyone deserves to read this book. It’s perfect. The way January had thought she skated through life knowing what would come next and then being blindsided with the realities that happy endings are not always “happy endings” and trying to remotely get to one is a whirlwind of heartbreak, disaster and in her case: death. Nothing is simply going to happen they way you want it to. The way her and Gus came together beautifully, in their happy-for-nows. The twists that was Gus’ marriage. The emotional train ride the two went on to finally being happy together. The book had me either smiling ear to ear or so engulfed with an intense face. ‘Beach Read’ has become a book I will always come back to, to remember the way it felt to read it; To experience it for the first time again. Everything about this book is captivating and everyone deserves to read it.
