Absolutely terrible. You have to wonder how no one said hey that doesn’t make sense when writing this script. You will be left wondering why the teacher and school who clearly see a kid that is severely malnourished, disheveled with dirty clothes, drawing images of dead animals and bodies, and then see abuse marks all over his body do not bother to contact CPS or police yet alone his parent but instead just let him walk back home only to have the kid at the hospital several days later with the Dr saying kid is abused and severely malnourished halfway through this film is beyond comprehension. Then the teacher killing the sick harmless kid instead of taking him to a hospital so a medical expert can evaluate and treat him because she thinks he won’t get better yet knows absolutely nothing about this sickness besides a native man saying it is a beast in native folklore. Writer/director Cooper deserves to be black listed for this pile of unrealistic garbage.
