I've read this book twice already...The officer who had eject from his plane over N. Vietnam & was rescued after 23 days, later married my sister.
I asked him a couple years ago, "Weren't you scared while evading the N. Vietnamese soldiers?"
He said, no, that they were taught survival skills.
