This is an awful character assassination of Bonnie and Clyde, focusing on making heroes of two brutes who both individually boasted of murdering many more people than the famous duo ever did.
The film delibratly manipulates facts such as the death of the two motorbike patrol officers who were not shot by Bonnie. It then goes on to give Hummer some heroic attempt to arrest the pair in the car when in actual fact the possee opened fire on the vehicle without any warning and did not attempt to apprehend the pair. I am not pretending Bonnie and Clyde were anything else than ruthless criminals who would kill whenever confronted by danger but they were a product of their time, and very much a product of the rangers and the approach to law enforcement across the states during the great depression and before. After all let's not forget that whilst making out the law enforcement teams in Texas and Louisiana to be some benevolent helpful officers, these same law enforcement officers were at the very same time turning a blind eye (or even worst) to the numerous lynchings going on across the states of Louisiana and Texas throughout the 30's. This film provides a false narrative that it attempts to reinforce to make heroes of killers and villains of other killers. There is no balance and as such I must rate this film as one of the worst I have seen for a long time.
