Honestly NOT worth the hype at all. Watch it only for Ranveer Singh's performance and admiring the beauty of Chittor Fort. Shahid and Deepika look beautiful but don't do much, especially Deepika ( Why were her eyes red all the time? )
Another person who has performed really well is Jim Sarbh. He delicately handles the character of Malik Kafur and doesn't go overboard.
The movie was set in the 13th century so Jauhar/Sati at that time makes some sense.
But the question is what about doing justice to the dialogue, "Rajputi kangan mein utni hi taakat hai jo Rajputi talwar mein hai".
Were they telling that the Rajputi women weren't afraid of Jauhar? Seems so by the way the movie goes.
Fight scenes are nothing new. Add some scenes from Bahubali and some indianised version of fights in Troy and we are done with it.
Art direction, Cinematography, Costume designing were brilliant.
Other than that it is just old wine in a new bottle.
