Racism and war, especially the Vietnam War, are two open wounds we haven't healed. Spike Lee, as he always does, turns our heads to what we would rather not see in "Da 5 Bloods." It's magnificent movie making. Beautifully shot with great acting and fascinating characters, the compelling plot might stretch our credulity at times but always stays penetratingly faithful to history and the truths that keep the wounds open.
