It was a giant disappointment seeing it for the first time. The Grabber is pretty psychotic, but the entire plot twist of the film was only focused on the boy he kidnapped, to which he hardly even inflicted pain or torture upon. Aren't serial killing kidnappers supposed to enjoy the pleasure by torturing their victims for months - kinda like John wayne gacy. Instead he locks him in the basement for days to the point of starvation which is pretty lame to begin with. And how could any street smart kid have the capabilities, experience and strength to take down a psychopathic killer with a a phone cord. The kids alcoholic father was more abusive than the Grabber to be honest. Anyways the plot was pretty bland and lame along with all the characters

The problem was the hospital scene where there were no staff members present - with Tara alone pleading for help and the only people that where there was the killer who had access to the main power. The ending would've been perfect if psychotic Stu made a surprise reveal as the killer, which would've made a perfect piece to the puzzle. I feel like Sidney and other actors didn't bring more passion and dedication to their acting skills which personally felt bland. The graphic gore was perfect and probably better than the previous sequels. I love the originality of the film which paid tribute to the 1996 release and tribute to the best director himself "Wes Craven"

The movie itself wasn't what I expected especially with the plot twist that doesn't make sense at all. The film wouldn't be more thrilling without the "Torture Porn" scenes - but I've expected a lot more suspense from the 9th installment. The Pig puppet voice just sound less intimidating and scary than Tobey's orginal voice. The Caracter itself really looks and sounds like a rip off version of Miss Piggy from "The Muppets" Horror sequels should be kept original as possible. Some of the actors did not have a perfect storyline especially Chris Rock misanthropic character who is definitely out of touch from reality. As a professional movie critic like myself I've definitely did not enjoy the movie at all. This film should film should've gone the extra mile to add more gore and torture like the originals. Saw Spiral was definitely NOT the same without Jigsaw.
