A genuinely affecting teen romance. The characters felt real, their emotions palpable and the outcome of the first season felt realistic. This is the first LGBT teen-focused show in a long time that I feel treats its characters with respect and authenticity. While you may not be happy with the season 1 resolution, it refused to stray into a "fairy tale ending" that would not feel earned. This is a show that absolutely deserves a second season.
