This is one of those movie that, if you are able to finish it, will probably haunt, if not disturb, you for a while. It shares a lot of the qualities of a nightmare, which can be very disorienting. There's some thick allegory going on here using some intensely graphic content as a medium. It's the kind of thing that can easily be viewed numerous times in an attempt to figure it all out, if that's even possible. All of that said, the movie is very well executed on a technical and stylistic level and the acting is excellent, albeit dramatically exaggerated, ostensibly as part of the disoriented, nightmarish tone of the overall film.
