Phoenix and Hoffmann are incredibly good in this, and Amy Adams is perfectly cast. Very unusual film. Intriguing.

The characters are true to life people who are just like many people whose greed is often focused on which children will inherit. The sibbling rivalry is shattering but realistic. Greed, fierce competition, disfunctional family, insight into the very rich. ---Dialog is perfect, acting is exceptional.
