I hate this game. I've played every Call of Duty religiously for years, and I've never encountered a COD that makes me want to stop, until now.
The mechanics are so slow, the only way to survive is to camp. If you run 20 feet, boom! Shot from a camper across the map. Respawn. 5 feet, boom! There's a guy in the doorway right in front of your spawn. Respawn. Boom! Claymore. Boom! Shotgun. And so on until, as an adult, I'm tempted to throw my controller.
I saw an interview with the developers where they mention that they wanted gameplay to drive everything in this game... I'm not sure how they could possibly have thought they were achieving that.
I'll throw out that I only play multiplayer and have no interest in their "follow the story and shoot the computers" campaign, so I can't speak to that.
Spawn points are unpredictable, and don't seem to be affected by where enemies are at all. Everything seems like a one hit kill, unless of course it's you doing the shooting. Moving through the level is impossible, especially in the smaller maps, due to all the camping. And the worst part is, I don't blame people for camping. I can get a 2.00 or 3.00 KDR and consistently be in the top 3 on my team if I camp, but how is that actually fun for anyone? I'll go without sitting in a building setting traps like I'm in Home Alone, and peering out windows waiting for someone to run by. I'm going back to Black Ops 4 until the next generation comes out. So disappointed.
