FIRST IMPRESSION REVIEW INCLUDING ALL POSSIBLE TRIGGERS. I love disco music and my friends and I decided to watch this because we were all dancing and having a good time and had never seen it. What you don’t hear from people in reviews and is that there is a very hard to watch rape scene. Made everyone super uncomfortable since we expected this to be a light hearted film. Please keep this in mind if you are considering watching. Along with that trigger warning there is also a trigger warning for gang violence and suicide. Also has racism. The film is rated R which makes this film appropriately rated but still caught us very off guard as all I really knew about the film was that it’s about a man entering a disco dancing competition. The disco dancing scenes were very fun and alive, which is why I left 2 stars.
