Amazing visuals. Thrilling season-long story arcs. Really enjoyed it. My only iffy feeling is that things are always very emotional. If they could allow the characters to relax more they could have a little more character-driven plot. I'd like to get to know the characters more, in a casual, every-day way. Oh yeah, and not every season needs to have end-of-the-galaxy stakes. Then again, ST: Brave New Worlds presents itself as the next TNG-style ST series, so perhaps this new approach to ST with Discovery can be appreciated. Anyway, every Star Trek series starts with apprehension from the fans. Attempts at something new are met with resistance. I've loved every series so far so I'll set my apprehensions aside and appreciate it and wait, white knuckling, for more.
