I have always been a fan of the original 1954 original classic movie. Not for what came after, as I felt it made Godzilla and the original message fade away to silly movies and selling out to mindless entertainment. But this new re-make of the original is superb! Well done, good acting, incredible effects, and true to the story. I have always wanted a redo, and it's finally here! To hear some of the Original music, and new music added to its success. Best to see on a big screen at a theater. Don't let the 100% japanese cast and language scare you away. The subtitles are easy to follow, especially on a big screen.

One of the best I've seen. Hats off to Jennifer. I believe it's her best role. And the singing...my goodness! I remember living thru some of this early in my life. Pivotal, and true connection, as when hearing about MLK's assassination. It hits home is an understatement because it WAS family to Aretha too. I particularly like the display to viewers that most black and white musicians playing the same tubes shows the strength good music brings to us all. But I'm partial since always love the songs of studio musicians then. All around worth the time to watch this movie. It took my breath away serveral times.

Breathtakingly done! I remember liking the 1984 version, which was much story crammed into one movie. So glad this time around it is elegantly presented, with no rush. Good acting, exquisite visuals, and refreshingly not your typical SiFi Disney nonsense. And for that reason it will not surpass boxoffice numbers compared to Externals, which caters to the popcorn family crowds with it's typical superpower heros. But it should.I cannot wait for part 2. Really enjoyed it.
