I have watched The Price Is Right all my life (I’m 71). When Bob Barker retired, I didn’t think I would continue watching, but I gave Drew Carey a chance. Until about a year ago, I thought Drew was doing a good job—not Bob Barker good—but well enough for me to keep watching. However, with his growing beard, greasy hair, and pajama shirts in the past year (Covid-excused, I presume), Drew seems to be disrespecting the TV audience, as well as Bob’s legacy. Bob Barker, as well as hosts of other current game shows, would not and have not resorted to such sloppiness. Bob brought class to The Price Is Right, as do George Gray and the models on the show. In fact, George Gray would make an excellent replacement for Drew. Please don’t think that I don’t like Drew. I do; he’s funny. I just can’t believe the producers think Drew’s current style is the best fit for this historic game show. I don’t look forward to watching the show as I did, thus my 3-star rating.
