Sorry to disappoint the other reviewers but I can't relate to this movie. How can anyone relate to a movie in 2020 which shows a girl child of approx 7- 8 yrs of age getting married to an adult who is approx 20 years older than her. Yes aesthetically shot and good performances but story could have been better.

Good music and superb acting are the two Oars to move this boat. It effectively portrays the indecisiveness of the present youth who are too casual about everything including their life and family. Vicky can't take a stance and Rumi can't take a decision....... She keeps oscillating between her heart & mind ...... So much so that it becomes too repetitive and after a point audience doesn't care any more. Towards the end you are just fed up of the situation and say " who gives a damn" What is unrealistic here is - A. the reaction of the family members who like robots keep changing their thoughts & actions as per the whims & fancy of Rumi till they become irrelevant for the audience. B. A Guy like Robbie who is so understanding that he is ready to put up with everything ....! Also not that we live in a conservative world anymore but here the focal point of life is - sex ....To the extent that you feel Sex is the lead character here. I really wish Anurag Kashyap had given more dimensions and depth to this movie with such fabulous actors like Vicky & Tapsi who become the characters themselves. And not to ignore a decent & likable presence of Jr Bachchan. To sum up ... First half entertaining but second half just draggy... Can watch once to appreciate the acting & music !
