I watched this show as it premiered on HBO in my early teens. I have been taught so much about life, grief, beauty, art, pretension, the entire human condition... from watching this show. It’s gorgeously crafted and swings into full rhythm after the first episode, providing this painful and beautiful balance within every episode. I can’t say enough about this show. It caused me to mourn things I had no idea I even cared about. The way it pushes forward the LGBTQA community in a time when not many other shows did. it’s the story of a flawed family and we become just as engrossed in the tragic, primal themes of show just as we do the beautiful ones.
