As a huge fan of the original Lion King, and the Broadway show, I was heavily disappointed. It was a lifeless, shot-for-shot remake of the original, with no effort put into it. There's nothing new, except for one new scene, which could honestly be cut and the story wouldn't be affected. The acting is honestly not that great, except for James Earl Jones. And there's more dumb autotuning. This movie was just Disney saying: "Screw originality, uniqueness, and poignant storytelling, we got a Lion King remake that'll make us RICH."
