Deplorable! That's what this show is. A horrible script, a crappy cast barring Anupam Kher, a totally biased and blinded view towards India, Indians and Mumbai!! Shoot locations are sub standard. Studio sets are unreal and portrayal of most characters as Indians (fake Indians) just leaves such a bad taste in the mouth. It's such a sad take on what kind of lives are being led by people in India.... It's high time people take notice and at least see the truth about India as a global giant. And Russel Peters...he scores a lot of points as a stand-up comedian...but loses out equally on being an actor..

First of all, Taapsee .... You've done a great job and have pulled off your role extremely well! The movie is a brave take by the director towards an issue that has been rampant for a long time in our society, not only in India, but across lots of countries around the globe. What is also noteworthy, is that the movie has shown different sides of the abusive nature that, women today are exposed to. Plus, they have shown that women from all walks and every strata of society is subjected to abuse. Honestly speaking, it's a very well rounded and bold movie for Indian society and I'm really glad that the viewers are giving the movie a big thumbs up. All the actors have done a great job of showcasing the right emotions at the right time. And the best part of the movie was to see the end which gave the viewers a good idea that Taapsee forgave her husband and got a closure of sorts when he apologized truly from his heart. I have no clue why the movie has been getting negative ratings....after all haters will be haters...but to each his own.... Success is always sweeter in the face of resistance... Great job to the team of 'Thappad'!!
