Alien3’s sublime look and subtlety are underrated ... the bleak plot line has put off many and it is certainly not the vibe of it’s bang-em-up predecessor ... yet the quiet terror it invokes are more reminiscent of the 1979 Ridley Scott vision. David Fincher’s genius applies a hauntingly beautiful darkness that elevates the franchise.
