It's a new and unique approach to the depressed housewife genre. Annie Murphy's character tries to make a passionless marriage work and this is portrayed in a cheesy sitcom. When she is in her reality it becomes a dark dramedy where she is starting to come to grips with her boring life. She is beginning to understand that she must be the change if her life is to get better.
