Only now I’ve discovered this series, after so many years after it was made. My husband and I binged watched it breathlessly. Amazing acting, reality at its best. The battle of our modern minds, raised in a Greek Orthodox religion but not religious, we had a hard time to try and understand the religious devotion of Jewish orthodox. I yelled at the tv, at the almost blind obedience of children, at the religiosity but nevertheless chain smokers 😂. I cried, I laughed, I fought with them. I love every minute of this show. I so regret they didn’t continue in this format. Why glamorize into Hollywood stage when you can have the real thing. I want the Israeli show to continue! It’s the best I’ve seen in a long time. It’s perfect without nudity and sex. And I’m not a Puritan. Finished today the last episode and my heart is still bleeding for each character. They have so much to loose and so much to gain. So many possibilities to continue the plot. Love it!
