Idk why rotten tomatoes and meta critic give it such a low rating but Eddie Murphy did a great job! Being able to watch it and seeing a lot of the original cast come back, during a pandemic that’s amazing. Remember why you watched the original Coming to America. Reading some articles online and they’re all negative (The NYT, Chicago Tribune, etc)—- look at the authors who writes those articles? My suggestion is to watch the movie and decide for yourself! Enjoy!

Representation matters!!!!!! Thank you for all the amazing diverse actors who participated in this film. In addition casting Brandy as the lead character w her lovely fairy godmother as Whitney Houston and Filipino American actor Paolo Montalban and Whoopi Goldberg.

Yes it was confusing at first but you need to keep watching to understand the overall message and story. I really enjoyed it.
