Peter Drucker once spoke a double entendre of great importance to business leaders: "the days of the intuitive manager are numbered." Jim Lindell, CPA, has provided in this important book the means, method, and mindshare that can allow business owners to operate better businesses tracking and using numbers that do matter. A concept explored in the book is the concept that business analysts often use to determine the current condition of a company called the Z-score. Lindell explains this concept and how business leaders can know more about themselves and their businesses by knowing and using the numbers of businesses. If there were 6-stars available, I would give this book another star. It is an important volume in my executive coaching library and I strongly endorse this book to business owners who want to be more sage, insightful, and aware of the numbers that matter in their business, and how to use these key performance indicators to move their business forward.
