I love this game because it has so much potential. But its been almost 8 years since its release and they haven't updated the storyline. Kingsisle keeps cutting back the Free-to-play areas so that you have to pay for content sooner than you would have, had they not made these updates. I remember when the game first came out, you could actually experience the storyline without paying, and it was so refreshing compared to Wizard101's free to play experience. Now, they've moved up the paywall so that you can only reach level 7 without paying, level 8 if you really make the effort to farm mobs for XP to level up. It's sad how they're doing the opposite of helping their game succeed. They're practically forcing people to not be interested in their game, by not allowing people to really experience the "free to play" questline, since they butchered it, and now half of what we HAD, is now premium content. ): I'm disappointed because I genuinely loved these games, so it's really hard and frustrating to watch KINGSISLE force their players to fall out of love with their games, and resent their company. It's also pretty evil to market a game as "FREE TO PLAY!" but you only actually have about 1 hour worth of free to play content for Pirate101, until you need to get membership to continue. And for Wizard101, not only do you have to get membership as well, but most essential gear is pay2win :) so it's just a gross false advertisement, and this is coming from someone who enjoyed both games and was an avid wizard101 player.
