I went into this with no spoilers or any knowledge of the game (besides playing the first one obviously) and just FLEW through it because I was so immersed in the story. I didn't even know there was any controversy until after finishing. I honestly loved it so much. While I can understand while some people were frustrated with having the character switch halfway through, I personally got over it very quickly.
**Spoilers**
I think it's important to be exposed to perspectives that make us uncomfortable, upset, and possibly even angry, and I was impressed by ND tackling this feat. I too had to pause once the narrative switched to Abby-- I didn't want to know her story and I didn't want to sympathize with her. But being able to understand our "enemies" viewpoint makes us more empathetic humans. I just was surprised that so many people were unable to get over that hurdle and enjoy what was truly a wonderful game.
