Formulaic storyline, only set underwater. *spolier complaints below* Half of Aquamans struggles were against a horde of faceless monsters, who clearly weren't powerful enough to pierce his "plot armour" The "epic" battle at the end of the film was fought between a newly introduced race of crab-men we don't care about, and a load of fish-men without backstory or personality, who we also don't care about. Thousands of lives are lost, but even the characters in the film don't seem to care, as minutes later they're all friends, cheering Aquaman for getting a swag new trident. Every emotional conversation misses the mark, and sadly there's not even a convincing bad guy to cheer for. This film is 2 hours 23 minutes too long. Booooooooooo!!!!
