Scorpio Arias

This movie surprised me. And that's saying a lot because most movies I've seen are always just so familiar. When I thought everything was about to be wrapped up with a nice little bow, sike, we were only 50 minutes in and had a while lifetime to go. There's so much to unpack with this movie: perceived friendships; real friendships; unlikely friendships; breakups and makeups; family; and growth and self-esteem. There were so many moments where I felt embarrassed for the protagonist but then there were other times where she was so damn relatable. It was a great, unpredictable, late night choice on this very predictable Monday night.

Grimm was on point until the last two seasons. It became too convoluted in its attempt to create stories for some of its other characters. Overall, the first few seasons were amazing and I plan to watch them every October as part of my Halloween lineup.
