Went into the movie theater completely blind without knowing anything about this film. Except for two star cameos and some surprisingly good Jim Henson puppets dropped in like 3 cherries on a turnip pie, this movie was little better than amateur theater. The lack of buget was obvious, the story was dull, the acting hammy, and sets second hand. It was aiming for a Princess Bride vibe, but lacked the charm, pacing, and cinematography of that film. The witch and captain of the guard were the best of the bunch in this monkeyshine pantomime.

Excellent return to form for Disney Animated Films. It picks up at puberty , where the mind and emotions are being reshaped by hormones and teenage social consciousness. The story has mostly the same themes of the first movie, but prequel is not required viewing to apreciate the sequel.

A scintillating synthwave spectacle of movie monster mayhem. The dialog on the other hand is atrocious in sharp contrast to Godzilla Minus One

Outstanding sets throughout and the CGI is good, but the constant jokes and plot holes undercut any dramatic tension. As a result, movie is parady of D&D with cartoon style acting.

I would consider this a sci-fantasy because in it the protagonist has discovered a form of techno-wizardry. Through an ear piece app she can channel the skills and physical properties of her alternate dimensional selves. She is uniquely able to do this because she has so much wasted potential (ie an empty clay pot) and instinctively knows a "ritual action" that will tap into it.(ie. created the app). She uses this power to attempt to save her family and file her taxes.

Truly mesmerizing. Great depth of character and World Building. Excellent animation.
