I went into the theatre expecting an amazing addition to the MCU. All I can say is that’s exactly what I got. Every moment I enjoyed up until the after credit scene. Brie Larson amazingly portrayed an epic female lead. It is amazing to finally see a strong women in the spotlight for once. The plot twists were incredible and it was not predictable. They were funny moments and moments that made you gasp. All in all this movie was an amazing prequel to over 10 years of MCU films. The references to the earlier films were beautifully crafted. I practically jumped out of my seat as it ended filled with excitement for Avengers: Endgame. I cannot wait to see how Captain Marvel develops as more movies are made! Overall 10/10. Even if you didn’t get many of the MCU References this movie is still very enjoyable. Many of my friends had not seen this movies predecessors yet they were just as engaged as I was. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys action, and a good old fashioned 90’s movie!!
