I was a big fan of the 1978 movie and book, and the first episode was close to the movie, but in watching the next 3 episodes I was getting upset at the direction it took because it was not staying true to the book. I was very excited that they were going to release this in a miniseries and who would be doing the voices. I thought they would be able to devote more of the actual story to the screen. I was very disappointed with how the rest of the series went. Where should I start?
1. Hazel was a reluctant leader, but had confidence. They made Hazel unsure
of himself and that was frustrating to see.
2. What happened to Pipkin?
3. Why did they make Strawberry a girl and then still put in the line that they had no does when they got to Watership Down?
4. Why did they change the character of Hyzenslay to a more pitiable character than the strong female that she was and give all the glory to Clover, the hutch rabbit, who was a minor character in the book?
5. Why did they have Clover finding the wounded Hazel instead of Fiver?
6. I found the Scottish Kehaar more annoying than the 1978 Kehasr who was so hilarious.
Why, why, why? I'm running out of room, but I was so upset at
many thing as about this.
