Love Will and like dark comedies and dramas. This was ok but it bugged me how off it was on several areas (lazy writing).
On the AA/ alcoholic side of it. Sponsors don't sponsor the other sex and this is widely known to avoid what happens in this movie. Don't think they needed that wife cheat on you at all - things were bad enough.
Also, if he's a full card carrying alcoholic but then his drinking is constant but he's never really very drunk- that's not how it works with people at that stage. Wish they did it better and treated it in a more "sober" way - alcoholism sucks and AA is better than that.
His wife freezes his accounts and locks him out and that's ok/ possible? He doesn't have any access to his own savings or checking account? I can't believe that's even possible. What is this the Game? How's he supposed to move if she cancelled all his cards and blocked him from his $$. No of it makes sense.
His neighbor appears to be happy and back with her husband even though they're now clear her relationship is doomed and he's probably already cheating? I get it if she stays but why make it like everything is ok?
The boss tells him he could have sued if he didn't knife his tire? What? Not even related and yeah he can still sue.
Wife's behavior doesn't make sense. Neighbor's doesn't. The bank doesn't. Nothing does in this movie. But, I love Will and nice change of pace I guess - just could have easily been written so much better.
