Unfortunately the title tells you basically what you will be reading. Dry material - I stuck it out and read to the end hoping it would resolve itself, answer questions, characters would reveal likable qualities, or something to hook me in to this storyline. 326 pages - in the sweltering heat of Australia. All those deaths for no purpose… lives wasted. My time wasted. It all took too much time to come together. Wishing Jane Harper much success as she continues writing. Bravo to all of your hard work in publishing your books. Not a fan of this novel. Don’t even want to donate it for some other poor soul to pick up and read.
