I’m surprised this movie isn’t rated higher. It’s more of an emotional thriller than a straight up horror flick. But midway through I totally bought the script until it was flipped on its head and I realized I completely bought into the deception. The acting is outstanding. I won’t say it’s the best but it’s a great ride although some images are disturbing it is not for the faint of heart.

Began watching and felt like I was watching my life 20 years ago when I walked out of my house with a one year old daughter and everything I could pack into a Rav 4 and no idea where I was going. My ex-husband never laid a hand on me but I will testify the abuse was very real. Mental, emotional and verbal abuse strips away pieces of you every day until you almost have nothing left of yourself. I love how this shows the damage that can be done when living with constant trauma. I was fortunate because I did have a steady job at the time. It has been a long uphill struggle but I raised my daughter on my own and have built a life I am proud of.

The cops in this movie have to be about the world’s worst. First of all, this little girl goes missing with like 6 people around her and they don’t bother to look at the parents history. Then people are being killed right and left and they don’t look into the background of the camp ground owner who has a secret room with about a 100 VHS tape with him raping children. So much was just weird and unrealistic. The acting was just not good at all.
