The girl, Enola, I get it. She's not developed her powers of deduction as of yet. I applaud the writers for not putting her on the same level as Sherlock. But with that said, Sherlock, in this film, has been "dumbed down" tremendously. Was this done to keep Sherlock from stealing the show? Or just poor writing, directing or producing? One never knows. I would've given it 5 stars. But there was a few important things that got missed. Such as Mycroft being a complete overbearing beast. In all reality, he was just as sharp as Sherlock. In some cases, even more so. Also, the scene with Enola in the tree, and how it was linked to her mother. As if her mother had actually been there too.
And politically speaking, the rise of feminism is what ruined going series like The Walking dead. This movie was riddled with it. There would be no martial arts training for women back then. That's not a say a woman could not learn martial arts. But having classes of just women. A little bit of a stretch.
