i'm not autistic so i can't speak for the community. however the whole time it just looked like a film making fun of autistic people. i feel so bad for maddie since she was forced to do the role. there's no way sia did 3 years of research to make this film. the colors and everything in this film would be sensory overload for a lot of people with autism and would most likely stress them out. and sia even partnered with autism speaks which is an autism hate group. this was awful and i wasted my time
